Sympathie (Climbing rose / rosa / Rambler)
A hardy, large flowered climbing rose producing clusters of cupped, fully double, bright deep red flowers with dense, glossy, dark green leaves.
Colour of the flowers: deep red (repeat flowering).
Height: 3 - 4 meter (10 - 14 feet)
Flowering Period(s): June - October
Ideal position: sun
Pruning: For the first two or three years after planting, your new climbing rose will not require any pruning. Year 3 after the new shoots have flowered, cut the stems back to within 3-8 cm from the main frame branch. This will ensure that you get plenty of new shoots - which will then flower the next year.
Other features: Velvet red, scented, beautifully formed flowers on a continually flowering, strong and dependable rose.
